Born and raised in Brazil, Guilherme started his acting studies in 2010 at Teatro Escola Macunaíma (São Paulo, SP), and continued training in London, UK, where he joined the Scaffold State Company. He has also trained at 4Act school (São Paulo, SP) and attended classes with Serguey Zemtsov (Moscow Art Theatre, 2014).
Interested in the encounter, collaboration and ephemerality of theatre, Guilherme is looking to improve his acting skills, be part of an ensemble and contribute to the telling of good stories.
Saurabh SinhaJay - A Ghost - The Boom Box
In the Mahabharata, there is a tale of Yudhisthira’s dog, and Saurabh’s earliest memory of being on stage is playing the role of that dog. Little did he know, that the gazing eyes of the enraptured audience, the blinding lights and applause would be so captivating and inspirational. Saurabh has since performed in a number of musicals and plays in India and the US. In Basel, he performed with the Semi Circle in ‘Sand to the Egyptians’ and ‘Dracula’.
Zuzana Cox
Woman
Zuzana has been involved in numerous theater productions over many years with a variety of groups. Most recently she played a number of roles in 2016 'Shakespeare in the Courtyard' production. She has also received several prizes at international theater festivals as well as a nomination for best actress for her part as Marion in Kate Mosse's Syrinx.
In her opinion this play is extraordinary and she is thrilled to be able to portray the multi-layered, multifaceted and complex character of the Woman.
Cameron GoughBoy
Cameron was born in Basel in 2002, currently attends the Gymnasium Laufen and is getting his first taste of theatre in Baggage in Limbo. starting to get to know the theatre business. Cameron is also a singer and is working on developing his performance skills.
Sam Ammann
Ron - Left to Right
Sam Ammann has been active in the English theatre scene in Basel for the past nine years, as has appeared in a number of Upstart productions. Having gotten a taste for the stage with The Gay Beggars, he has since acted in many German language plays and some short films. Currently, Sam is completing a degree in history and English literature and linguistics at the University of Basel.
In his free time, he enjoys making music and concocting crazy meals for his flat mates.

Gracie trained at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and originally from North Wales.
Her most recent theatre credits include Rita in Educating Rita (Contexture Theatre London) Maggie in Shrine to the Common Garden Gnome (Lowry Theatre), Judy in The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (Jermyn Street Theatre), Elspeth in Sincerely, Mr Toad (Edinburgh Fringe and Greenwich Theatre), Mrs Cohen in Rent (Cockpit Theatre) and Woman 2 in Songs for a New World (Unity Theatre).
Gracie can also be heard singing on numerous Early Learning Centre albums and has recently been touring Switzerland and Germany with her rock band, DRAIN.
Jorian PawlowskyScott - Left to Right
Jorian’s passion for music and theatre is no surprise, what with having had a grandmother who was an opera singer and actress at the National Opera in Bremen, Germany. Despite her advice to not get involved with theatre, Jorian has been actively involved with the performing arts since he’s been a teenager. He has acted and directed numerous plays with the Gay Beggars and has been a firm fixture with Upstart Entertainment for a few years now both as an actor and director. And this production of Baggage will be no exception as he has directed one play and plays a role in another. Theatre has been and continues to be one of his main passions and he is involved in an average of three productions a year. By day Jorian studies History and German, and when he isn’t on stage he pays the bills working as bartender, night auditor and doing promo events. Keep an eye out for him later in the year as he switches roles in The Messiah which will perform in December.
Fiona MüllerAngie - Left to Right
Fiona has been involved with theatre since school, whereafter she joined „Theater Rampenlicht“ and played various roles there while training to be a nurse. Since 2016, she has been part of Semi-Circle Basel and played in „Dracula“ and „Blithe Spirit“. Fiona uses her holidays from nursing to improve her acting skills, and has participated in a Shakespeare course at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has done vocal training at the Central School of drama and speech in London.
David CoxMan
A familiar face in Basel English theatre David has been involved in numerous productions over many years, either as actor, director, or stage and lighting designer. Most recent acting credits include Charles Condomine in Blithe Sprit, Macbeth/Claudius/Capulet in “Shakespeare in the Courtyard” and Henry Smith in “The Extraordinary Revelations of Orca the Goldfish” for which he received the UK National Drama Festival Association’s award for best performance. He is looking forward to playing the role of Man, a very real character stuck in limbo in this gripping play with all its twists and turns.

Radio Technician - Last Minute Adjustments
Uthra moved to Basel from California a year ago with her husband and three-year-old daughter. After growing up in a small city in South India, she finds that living in Basel gives her a closer sense of home than California. Whereas her educational background is in Visual Communication and Arts Management, she has over 15 years of experience in Indian Classical Dance and Music. Her passion lies in these performing arts including theatre. Whilst studying at University, Uthra was actively involved with the Drama Club, acting, directing and managing plays. She continues to work on improving her skills by attending theatre workshops.
Danielle ZammitSister - Rowing to America
Danielle Zammit has been a resident of Basel for 8 years, and it's a city she cherishes also because here is where she discovered the joy of acting. Danielle has since played a number of roles with The Gay Beggars and the Semi Circle. She was last seen on stage in The Vagina Monologues in February 2017.

Although Dany had been singing in various formations since his teens it wasn't until the year 2001 that he found his way onto the big stage as Riff in West Side Story. Since then Dany has appeared in musicals and plays such as Jesus Christ Superstar, A Slice of Saturday Night, Closer, I Love You You're Perfect Now Change and Midsummer. He is currently starring in the Frank Sinatra musical My Way at the Förnbacher Theater and is the member of an acapella sextet.

Supervisor - Last Minute Adjustments
Liz is no stranger to being on stage, with many appearances as a musician supporting dancers and performers in Celtic festivals and ceilidhs, playing in youth orchestras and bands, and even on-stage in a Rock-Opera adaptation of the Dr Faustus story.
She was last seen on stage many years ago, as a singing and dancing Villager in the Basel Panto production of "Christmas Cavalier". This production of "Baggage - In Limbo" marks her first speaking role.

Paul Pieterse, born in The Hague, Netherlands, got involved in 'amdram' in the UK in the early noughties picking up small parts in outdoor productions of Shakespeare comedies. He has played large country house lawns, castle walled gardens but also vintage town halls and society owned theatres. Since 2014, Paul has been involved with the Oberufer Mystery Plays which have been acted out consecutively each year at the Goetheanum in Dornach since 1916. Highlights of his career include the 'Best supporting actor' award from the Gloucestershire Dramatic Association in 2009 for the part of Gaveston, in Marlow's 'Edward the 2nd'. Paul was also in the 2011 production of 'Cat Among The Pigeons' performed at the 'Minnack,' a renowned theatre hewn out of the cliffs on the spectacular coast of the Cornwall town Porthcurno.
Jenya LavickaAssistant B – Last Minute Adjustments
Jenya Lavicka came to Switzerland 11 years ago after finishing her Master's degree in Business Administration in the Ukraine. Following an eight year stint in finance for the pharmaceutical industry, Jenya is now studying Marketing & Communications, running educational camps for Ukrainian orphans in Switzerland and is finally pursuing her dream of acting on stage. This is Jenya's debuting performance.
